Welcome
Statement from Chief Harlin McEwen, PSST Chairman
The Public Safety Spectrum Trust is pleased to be leading the effort toward creating a nationwide wireless broadband network for public safety. We are hopeful that 2009 will prove to be a year of progress for first responder communications. We will continue working with the bidder community, Congress and the FCC on getting the right rules in place to encourage commercial entities to partner with public safety. The thoughts and recommendations of first responders around the country are an important component to the steps ahead - please contact us regarding the creation of this shared network built to meet public safety's mission-critical communications needs.

As directed by the FCC, PSST board members represent organizations representative of local, county and state public safety organizations - and the local, county and state governments who employ them. Members of the PSST board have experience at the local level and understand the unique needs of differing communities. The PSST also looks forward to maintaining contact with the local public safety community by way of Public Safety's Regional Planning Committees.
